Metalosis Maligna - An Extraordinary disease

November 29th, 2008 -- Posted in Health, Humor | No Comments »

At Success Health News, we sometimes find videos and information that can stretch your thinking, making you look beyond the obvious.

Please Note:

This is not a real disease, literally at least. But an imaginary movie that visualizes how humans are totally intertwined with technology.  Enjoy this excellent example of how some good animation and a creative mind can blur the line between reality and imagination.

Are Our Children Allowed to Be Successful?

September 12th, 2008 -- Posted in Family Health Tips, Health News | No Comments »

Success Health News thanks the Napkin Dad for this Napkin

Thank you Napkin Dad for this napkin, even though this may not have been about abuse, this illustrates that abuse can happen in seemingly normal homes.

Should the children cry?

Child’s Eyes –

Child’s eyes are all beautiful.

They are innocent, full of love and

hopes for the future, for life.

However each child has a destiny.

Some eyes will see a life full

of love and satisfactions, other

will see malice of the world and

will cry so much that they will lose

innocence.

Suffering marks child’s eyes for all

life.

We have to stop children’s crying.

thank you euromarta

We have to stop children’s crying!

DASH Diet Can help the Enviroment

DASH-Diet-Says-Eat-Less-Meat

The DASH Diet is an ideal way to help the environment as it recommends less meat and in fact encourages more protein sources coming from fish, poultry, legumes and nuts.

How can a diet help the environment?

At Success Health News we came across this story from The Guadian

UN says eat less meat to curb global warming

People should have one meat-free day a week if they want to make a personal and effective sacrifice that would help tackle climate change, the world’s leading authority on global warming has told The Observer…….

Pachauri, who was re-elected the panel’s chairman for a second six-year term last week, said diet change was important because of the huge greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental problems - including habitat destruction - associated with rearing cattle and other animals. It was relatively easy to change eating habits compared to changing means of transport, he said.

Health News From Days Gone By

July 29th, 2008 -- Posted in Health News | No Comments »

When we think about health news, we often think of the stories that describe the successes that modern medicine has created in peoples lives. Modern Doctors have so many resources at their fingertips, from laboratories that are funded by governments and private industries, to world class medical education, research, and up-to-date health information.
In times gone by, medical discoveries were not so easily accomplished. Much of the research was in many ways barbaric, done in less than sanitary conditions and with little to no understanding of the underlying science of good health.
This blog is a recap of those men and women who have helped to shape our health systems today. We truly owe our health success to these pioneers.

Are you a ‘Neat Geek’? Test your grime IQ

June 23rd, 2008 -- Posted in Family Health Tips | 1 Comment »

http://www.genoa.org/cleaning_up_the_mess.htm

I have always loved doing different IQ tests, not just because they can be fun, but you can learn so much about yourself as well as your enviroment.

For example, I came across this particular test while reading different health news articles at msnbc.com

and decided to give it a try - I can honestly say that I am not a neat Geek, but I come pretty close…what about you?
